iVolunteer offers rural fellowships to urban and working professionals under the name India Fellow.
The iVolunteer India Fellow youth programme aims to involve exceptionally talented youth and provides them with opportunities to experience, first hand, the development challenges that rural India faces and explore ways to make a positive impact. Every year, 60 college students across urban India are placed with rural non-profit organisations for a period of 6 weeks in summer. Fellows live with rural communities for the entire duration working on social development projects. Fellows are supported by iVolunteer and local host organisations through local accommodation, stipend, travel, orientation and ongoing project support.
The iVolunteer India Fellow professional programme, started in 2007, aims to provide professional skills and expertise to the rural and social development sector in India by engaging skilled corporate professionals on full-time projects for 3 to 12 months with rural NGOs in India. Our target audience comprises private sector professionals and MBA post-graduates with at least two years experience in India in marketing, management consulting, finance or IT. Professional Fellows are supported by iVolunteer and local host organisations through local accommodation, stipend, travel, orientation and ongoing project support.
