Host an "India Fellow"
iVolunteer has instituted a rural fellowship programme 'India
Fellow' for young students across North, West and South India. This is a summer
fellowship programme designed to sensitize young under graduate/graduate
students to the work of rural NGOs and the challenges faced in the development
sector. As part of the fellowship, students are selected to undertake a 6-week
placement in pairs with a rural NGO, sharing their skills by living and working
with the rural communities for the entire period.
We invite non-profits to host a fellow and provide young Indians an opportunity
to connect with rural India. As a Host NGO, you have only to design a
challenging project for 'India Fellow' and provide Fellows with modest
accommodation during the 6 week period of the fellowship. For more information
about us and our programme, you can also visit the following links.
This year we are offering 60 fellowships to urban youth from metro centres in
North, West and South India. We seek rural Host NGOs based in Andhra Pradesh,
Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan,
Uttaranchal and Uttar Pradesh.
If you would like to host India Fellows, download the Host Project Form and
send the completed form along with a copy of your brochures to the iVolunteer
