India@75 is a path breaking initiative. It envisions how India should be in her 75th year of independence and seeks to bring together all stakeholders including the industry, government, institutions, community groups and individuals to translate the vision into a reality.

Prof C.K.Prahalad has been the inspiration behind India@75. While commemorating the 60th year of India's independence, on 23 Sep 2007 during the Incredible India@60 commemoration at New York he articulated the idea of holistic three dimensional development of India to acquire enough economic strength, technological vitality and moral leadership by 75 years of independence. CII adopted his vision on 8 May 2008.

There are Seven themes of India@75

Each year from 8th – 14th August, India@75 Week is celebrated to discuss, deliberate and realign the efforts of stakeholders. Volunteering is important aspects of this week where India@75 organizes pan India activities to engage people from all walks of life, in meaningful volunteering activities.

This year iVolunteer is keenly participating in this celebration of volunteering and has scheduled various volunteering projects across India aligning with themes of India@75. We hereby invite nominations to volunteer with us.

A lecture on e-waste & Sustainability

A lecture on e-waste & Sustainability From first use, to the trash bin, to beyond, our electronic appliances travel long journeys in their life-cycles, often becoming “e-waste,” or electronic waste. Unfortunately, the same chemical compounds that made these appliances resistant, fireproof, or even functional like lead, mercury, and various synthetic organics become extremely toxic, mobile, and resistant in the environment, prompting harmful health effects for all life within reach. Lets Join the hand together and teach the children about the E waste management.

Make Sandwich, Spread Love!

iVolunteer brings the biggest sandwich making event in the history of India. To celebrate Indians from all age groups will come together and make sandwiches to feed people. All too often, those in need are the easiest to overlook. Busy in our lives, we hardly get time to stop & share a word of comfort. We do want to help out but we don’t know where to start. A sandwich is the easiest way to start a conversation with anyone. This week long campaign is an opportunity for you to chat & listen to the stories of our less privileged friends; their circumstances & their challenges. The Seva Sandwich initiative started off as a regional event at iVolunteer’s head office in Delhi and was a resounding success. The impact of the programme has encouraged them to organize it at a pan India level this year across the four cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Kolkata. Join us on 2nd October at 9:30 am to make more than 1000 sandwiches which would be further distributed in the rag pickers community. Details: Sandwich Making – Garg House, 11/1D, East Topsia Road Kol 46. Opp Flaming Hospital Sandwich Distribution – Topsia Canal Side, Rag Pickers Community "It’s true- joy only grows by sharing, you can have more if you share it with others!
