Volunteer required to conduct a session on Career Counselling
Guidance and counselling are important for children they bring out the best in them. The students are advised on how to cope with different situations they tend to face in their school life. For instance, how should they talk politely or relate with their peers, what career choices they can make, what options are available for them etc
Purpose: To help students understand the different career options available for career planning and future planning

- To give information about your own career choice
- 2. To understand the interest areas and impart information about Qualifications and Skills required to pursue a Career of their choice.
- To share opportunities and challenges in the field
Time duration: 2 hours per session
Time commitment: Once a month for 12 months

- Interest to facilitate sessions with adolescents
- Updated and in-depth knowledge about their own Career stream
About Shiksha
Shiksha was established in 2002 to provide educational and vocational training opportunities for underprivileged children and youth. We operate three completely free Educational Centers for over 1,000 underprivileged children in Gurgaon, Haryana. We provide an enabling learning environment and offer scholarships to selected students to help them complete their education.
In addition to completely free education, our centers provide students with free uniforms, books, notebooks, and a nutricious A mid-day meal. As the students attending our Center's are primarily children of migrant laborers struggling to earn their livelihood, we work towards inculcating habits that will serve them for a lifetime.
