Volunteer Required for NTPC Project
Barefoot College is working on a project with NTPC which requires us to conduct residential summer camps at 18 locations across India for girl children (age 10-12 years) of rural government schools. The camp involves training on gender issues, environmental awareness, health, rights, arts, crafts, sports, literacy, digital awareness and more. Teachers, trained in these domains are delivering these workshops and this is an invite to join our teams for a month of high-energy creative engagement with rural girl children. Requirements: Only women volunteers can be inducted; Must be graduate and above; Previous teaching experience is preferred; Must know Hindi, Bengali, Odiya, and Gujarati depending on the state you volunteer for; Should be willing to work in any of the NTPC Plants in UP, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Gujarat and Odisha; Must be available in the period 20th May to 16th June. The accommodation in the NTPC plants are in comfortable gated campuses, and thereby safe. We shall bear their cost of travel, food and accommodation as well as provide a stipend of Rs. 16,000 for a 4 week period.
