How to write an effective concept note/ proposal?  

Note: Session will be conducted in Telugu and English

If this is the question you have been wanting to discuss and address, iVolunteer brings you a platform to do so through a highly customized training session on “Important aspects for writing effective concept note/ proposal" to be held on August 30, 2019 from 09.30am to 04.30pm as part of GYAN, our initiative where we have professionals volunteering to discuss the above situations faced by NGOs on various skills to help increase their efficiency.















The resource person is Rajanikanth Paladi is a Post Graduation in Sociology with 21 years experience in community development, Project communications, engagement with donors & Govt. departments, report writing and transforming technologies in health, education & Natural Resource Management sectors. Developing concept notes/ project proposal (specific/core) and made successful communications with donors such as AEI (France), BfdW - Germany, SPG (through ONGC CC), WWF - India, Care & Share Italia Onlus, Bharat Rural Livelihoods Foundation etc. Efficient in providing hand holding support to NGOs on strategic planning to program expansions and upscale. 

Agenda: 

Introduction: Round of introductions.
Methodology: participatory
Time: 10 min

Session 1: Clarity on what we are proposing
Methodology: Presentation and interactions 
Time: 60 min.
•	Are we proposing project/ program
•	Are we aiming for welfare/ development / or both
•	Is it new idea / explored during interventions / continuation to ongoing / expansions / up-scaling
•	How your organization work is relate with this proposal
•	Clarity on setting context/ interventions proposed/ results expected 
•	Proposing period one cycle or project cycle
•	Any idea on withdrawal strategy

Session 2: Important aspects need to be covered
Methodology: Group work and clarifications
Time: 60 min.
•	Clarity on local situation and emerged systems 
•	Sector Jargons.
•	Aiming subject to the knowledge levels of officer sitting in the donor organization (India / foreign)       

Session 3: Necessary aspects for improved results
Methodology: Presentation, group work and interactions
Time: 60 min.
•	Range of engagement with multi-stake holders
•	Frequently reaching general public (for range of familiarity) 
•	Publishing programmatic annual report
•	Updating websites with periodical reports
•	Availability of frequent communications with donors

Session 4: Queries and clarifications 
Time: 30 min

Note: Session will be conducted in Telugu and English

We will walk though the planning, creation, sharing and review of a effective concept note/ proposal to help an NGO create an effective presentation to convey their mission, work and their goals. A peer review will follow to enable constructive feedback for all participants.
 
The workshop is suitable for all NGO Leaders, Development Sector Professionals. It will be helpful in exploring weak and strong areas in each individual. It is also recommended for people who want to adopt new writing techniques and gain creative practices in terms of presentation the organisation and content production.
 
The participant will be required to carry a laptop and come prepared with their organization’s information, images, and relevant data. Participants are welcome to submit specific questions related to this subject ahead of the event date so that we can try to address them where possible.
 
We are glad to share that all participants of GYAN will be eligible to receive a “Certificate of Completion/Participation” from iVolunteer. As always the session is for a maximum of 10 participants, with a maximum of 2 per NGO.
