SESSION ON GOVERNMENT SCHEMES FOR SENIOR CITIZENS

Project Background: The ministries of the Government of India have come up with various government programs called schemes (Yojana) from time to time. These schemes could be either Central, state specific or joint collaboration between the Centre and the states. Many Senior Citizens are not aware of the Government Schemes.
 
Purpose: The main purpose of the session is to improve the quality of life of older persons by providing basic knowledge about the schemes Government of India has made available from them.
 
Location: Day Care Centre: Dignity Foundation: Datta Tekdi, Anand Nagar, Jogeshwari East, Mumbai- 400060

Key responsibilities:
1. To make the Senior Citizens aware of the Government Schemes
2. Encourage elderly to make the most use of the schemes

Time Commitment:

Once or Twice a week- 2hours per session

Skills and Experience Required:


1. Knowledge about Government Schemes for Senior Citizens is important
2. Good Communications skills: Hindi and Marathi
