Volunteer required for Curriculum Development Support

Purpose: 
To support and collaborate with our pedagogy team to create a curricula and lesson plan, based on research and study of global best practices as well as the educoway, which would help students from economically weaker sections learn in an effective manner.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Part 1                                                                                                    (80%)
    • Demographic and State board specific research to facilitate curriculum development
    • Support and collaborate with the Pedagogy team to develop set of curricula for specific subjects / competencies within subjects
      • Curriculum composition & editing
  • Part 2                                                                                                     (20%)
    • Develop instructions in a presentation style
      • Audio recordings
      • PowerPoint
    • Develop Train-the-Teacher document and incorporate techniques for teachers to help students learn
Time Duration: Minimum 6 months

Skills and Experience Required:
  • A Bachelors / Masters in Education / Social Work with focus on Education
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Curricula and Lesson plan development
  • Teaching / Facilitation
  • Excellent Verbal & Written English language
  • Should be able to work under limited supervision following standardized methods and practices
  • Should be able to maintain a healthy working relationship with the pedagogy team

About your organisation
Educo is an NGO registered in 2009, under Mumbai Public Charitable Trust.We are one of the 6 NGOs managing one school, Saibabapath MPS, under the School Support Program of the MCGM(Public Private Partnership Policy). We are currently serving 800+ children from the socio-economically backward area of Parel,Lalbaug.
The educo team over 10 years has created a tuition and expense free English medium school of choice in the neighbourhood of Parel. It is Pre-k to 10 school with a team of qualified teachers and management. Through this we are ensuring that we deliver a quality of education which is financially out of reach for the parents. Inspired by the NCF 2005, we are ensuring that the child receives a holistic education in a joyous and nurturing environment. We have a Pedagogy department and in-service teacher training that encourages continuous development of teachers.
