Knowledge Creation and Documentation
India Welfare Trust (www.indiawelfaretrust.in) was set up by an IIM Ahmedabad alumnus with the objective of helping those who help others. Currently, it supports projects that involve giving through philanthropy and through volunteering.
Through #EveryIndianVolunteering it aims to enable citizens across the country to volunteer their time and skills towards social causes. In order to achieve this, we work with ecosystem partners such as NGOs, corporates, volunteering intermediaries, and several communities and groups who are all actively involved in engaging volunteers or promoting volunteerism.
About the opportunity:
The role of knowledge creation and documentation is critical towards understanding and strengthening of the volunteering ecosystem. This will involve doing research such as reading reports related to volunteering, talking to relevant ecosystem members (NGOs, corporates, volunteering intermediaries, and groups), documenting trends + upcoming activities in the local and global ecosystem, support research related to any ongoing projects, etc.. Basically being our human equivalent of a Google-search engine when it comes to volunteering.
Tasks involve:

Creating knowledge pools based on specific domains using internet search, phone calls, meetings, etc.

Following and tracking social media platforms for volunteering related updates

Putting together a repository of all major reports on volunteering so far

Collate all upcoming events related to volunteering - conferences, discussion, etc.
Skills required:

Qualitative and quantitative research

Microsoft Office & Google Drive/ Tools

Spoken and written communication for engaging with the ecosystem members.

Documentation: Creating documents, reports, and sheets, related to the activities mentioned above.
Time Commitment: 5 hrs a week
