Volunteer Music Teachers
About the organization: Dribble Academy Foundation (DAF) was started in 2014 with just two bamboo sticks and a basketball hoop. Today we are operational in three states reaching out to over 1500 children. Our model is to create sports programs towards the holistic development of children. We envision to achieve this development through coaching, lifeskill training and nutritional support for children belonging to low resource backgrounds in various rural and urban slum communities. Responsiblities: A volunteer music teacher at the San DAF could provide a source of entertainment not only for the participants but others as well. The lessons could not only include the learning of a musical instrument but a sing song occasion for all after the musical instructions. These sessions may be able to do much in relieving the stress of the these children for a little while and help to enhance their quality of life. Qualifications: It is mandatory for volunteers to know a conversational level of the hindi language. Volunteers must also be mature individuals who are able to conduct themselves in a warm and positive manner with these children and their families. What an opportunity this is to provide some happiness to these children who have so little to look forward to.
