Design Disabled-friendly HR policies for Transcendent Knowledge Society
PROJECT BACKGROUND Our Vision is to empower persons with disabilities to make their own choices and to be celebrated as equal and valuable members of their families and communities. To create a dignified identity in the society we thought it is important to design livelihood projects for their social and economic rehabilitation and which will help them to sustain within the community by enjoying full rights and privileges like other fellow citizens. TKS is running multiple program and has large number of staff. It is important to the Founder to be in touch or aware of all the staff's requirements or concerns. Moreover, since TKS works with people with intellectual disability they would like to have HR policies and systems in place that take into consideration mental health and are people-friendly. KEY PROJECT OBJECTIVES 1) To prepare the HR manual keeping in mind disability. 2) Adopt creative people-friendly policies, for example team meets in the month, team spirit building activities, etc. PROJECT DELIVERABLES 1) Have a conversation with the founder and their employees to understand their HR requirements. Develop a sense of understanding of the employees. 2) Disable friendly and people friendly HR policies in the HR manual. 3) Brainstorm with the organization before designing the policies.
