About the Organisation: Every year, 140 million children are enrolled in Government schools across India, but only 10 million of them get gainfully employed every year. Anahata United Efforts Foundation believes that this is because of the lack of exposure & awareness and lack of educational & career guidance. They believe in the potential of each child and have developed a program for children of Grade 8 and 9 of lower income families to identify interest areas and harvest their potential through discovery, reinforcement and continuing support.
Purpose of the Project: Anahata United Efforts Foundation is looking for a volunteer who can dedicate some time every week in helping them re-develop their website. As of now, they struggle to make any changes to their existing website and want to move their website to a Content Management System (CMS), so that they can make changes to their website as and when required. There is no need for the volunteer to write or modify any of the content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Moving existing written content from their existing website to a Content management System
- Be adept with basics of web development
- Dedicate time to help out Anahata United Efforts Foundation as and when required and discussed with the foundation
Impact: The volunteer will be able to use their expertise of web developing in creating an easy and accessible website for Anahata United Efforts Foundation that will aid their self-sustainability and self-reliance in the long run.
