TITLE Mentoring of young kids by teaching Project Description: Angel Xpress Foundation (AXF), a 12 A & 80G certified NGO, has used urban coexistence to create a bridge between different economic classes through an innovative initiative called the “Free Learning Center” (FLC) program. Using untapped human and material resources, we aggregate and enable citizens to volunteer for community service and redistribution of resources thus making them contributors to the progress of their own neighborhoods.With this opportunity we can enable more volunteers to teach children online as it will be an enriching experience for the volunteers and as well as the children.Volunteers can teach English, Maths to children in the age group of 7-14 years. Other than that volunteers can also engage in teaching skills based activities which can be conducted online and also teaching our SSC 9TH AND 10TH GRADE STUDENTS Purpose: Engaging with children once a week over the weekend and teaching them insightful lessons. This gives an opportunity to the volunteers to experience online teaching and creating an impact in the lives of these children Key Responsibilities: The volunteer will have to prepare lessons to teach the children. Any material requirements will be borned by the volunteer. As these lessons are going to be online via whatsapp or zoom they must be well versed with using these applications. They must be compassionate and empathetic towards the children. Skills and Experience Required: Graduate or above in any stream Location: Mumbai (Virtual) Time Commitment : spare 2-3 hrs/week. JUNE 2020 TO MARCH 2021 About NGO: Angel Xpress Foundation enables educated and committed citizens to tutor, mentor and guide school-going children from slums in their neighbourhoods. Stay-at-home mums, retired citizens, students, and anyone who can spare 2-3 hrs/week. What do we teach?
