About the Organisation: Srujna is a not for profit platform that empowers underprivileged women in India through livelihoods through the make and market program. Srujna's goal is to make an equal world for all women by providing them with trainings, market linkages, and infrastructure support. Thus, transforming women into independent, confident and contributing members of their families and communities.
Project Description: Knowing English is not a compulsion in India but it is so commonly used in our daily life that it has become a need of the hour to learn English. Our women from low- income communities are keen to learn English so that they can make use of this skill in personal life like helping children with studies and professional life like promoting their products online & thereby, increase their earnings.
We are looking for committed volunteers who can teach basic English reading, writing and speaking all Saturdays. We have divided our adult learners into two groups- basic and advanced. Topics like pronouns, articles, short sentences etc need to be taught by the volunteer depending on the group allotted. The volunteers will be provided with orientation and training to carry out the required tasks.

Time Commitment: Minimum 3 months. Depending upon the learner's progress, the duration may be altered.
