Opportunity Details

PowerPoint Specialist

We need your skills and your time to improvise on workshop content on the theme of personal carbon footprint. Should be available atleast 8 hours in a week to make fresh designs as well as revise existing designs in powerpoint or similar.

here is an introduction of our initiative.

Have you wondered why we experience climate catastrophes more often?

-15 incidents in 2019  displaced 1 million+ people in each incident. Does the air increasingly seem more polluted?

-Air Pollution now kills more people than smoking in India.

Why is it that many of the wildlife species are becoming extinct?

-Animal population has reduced 60% from 1970 to 2020.

Our current lifestyle is responsible for all the above changes. To address the massive problem of planet destruction, individuals and community must be mobilized to know and to reduce our carbon footprint.

Carbon footprint is essentially a measure of how much the earth's resources are depleted with each and every product we buy and consume. Everything has a carbon footprint.  People, places, events.

At Onlyplanet.in we have devised a carbon footprint calculator, the first one of its kind, for India. Students aged 10yrs+, their parents & teachers can use this calculator to discover the extent of carbon footprint of our lifestyle over 1 year. With the use of the calculator, children intuitively learn planet-friendly choices, and are encouraged to apply this learning practically. What's more, they can adopt the learning along with their parents, classmates, family & friends. They can raise awareness of personal carbon footprint with their own campaigns.

Our carbon footprint calculator is a free-of-cost tool hosted on https://onlyplanet.in

It was presented @ National Environment Conference, IIT Bombay, in Feb 2019.

Since then we have conducted learning + action programs at 28 schools(Ascend International, Mount Litera etc)  corporates & social festivals, notably Nehru Science Center, Mumbai in Mumbai, Chennai & Coimbatore.  Over 5000 people have discovered the practice of sustainability in daily life with the use of the calculator.

The goal of this volunteer is to share the link for the personal carbon footprint calculator. You will be provided a custom camapign link of your own with which you can track the success of your campaign. images, videos will be made available to you via our social media channels. You are welcome to join our monthly workshops to learn about carbon footprint of day-to-day stuff and to reduce your own carbon footprint with everyday actions.
