Shine Bright like the North Star!
Project Description: The North Star Program provides global citizens a unique volunteering platform to be the guiding light in the lives of underprivileged children. The program draws inspiration from the North Star, which is a constant source of direction; similarly, the program selects passionate volunteers to be the guiding light in the lives of underprivileged children.
Purpose: Due to the pandemic, children have had limited exposure to the outside world. ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbhakam’ – The World is One Family, the North Star Program aims to bring the world to the doorsteps of underprivileged children.
Selected volunteers, North Stars, will be responsible to create life skills education & career guidance educational content for students in Aurangabad Municipal Schools. The program is aligned with UNICEF’s Comprehensive Life Skills Framework.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Attend orientation ( Scheduled on a monthly basis)
2. Create high quality videos based on the selected life skills education & career guidance topics
3. Complete and submit the reflection guide (pre requisite for the videos)
4. Submit videos for further processing
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Graduates/Working professional/Retired persons can apply to be a North Star
2. Fluency in Marathi (first preference) or Hindi
3. Comfortable to create educational video content for students
Location: Work from Home
Time Commitment: 2 weeks: 3-4 hours per day (Flexi hours)
