Technical Product Manager, Wordpress Web Developer

Position Summary: Lead development of mobile-first ARISE Impact website on Wordpress

Qualification Required :   

  • Currently working as a technical lead or above in web development in a company (ideally on Wordpress Tech Stack) 

  • Have experience of designing and managing the development of WordPress website and plugins 

 

  • Have in-depth technical understanding of web technologies around WordPress 

  • Able to work autonomously working with remote and distributed teams

  • Experience identifying new requirements for a product, platform or service and working with engineers to refine, prioritize and sequence the work

Essential Responsibilities : 

  • Manage/ Lead agile development of mobile-first ARISE Impact website on wordpress

  • Manage developers to produce new web pages and offerings with excellent and accessible user experience to people with and without disabilities 

 

  • Ensure that development processes follow agile & code management best practices 

    • Manage weekly iteration/ release cadences for development team to ensure work is executed and new work is prepped

    • Work with the various functions (marketing, HR, etc.)  to prioritize, sequence, and deliver new website capabilities 

    • Regularly review metrics and proactively seek out improved data/mechanisms, ensuring the website stays aligned with organization objectives

Other Requirements : 

  • Accessibility to Computer/Laptop, Good network internet connection and familiarity with social media platforms in specific WhatsApp and Skype

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Flexibility to work around different time zones

  • Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

  • Ability to connect and communicate with diverse types of organizations: partners, schools, businesses, government, etc.

  • Ability to take initiative, work individually or within a team.

  • High professional standards, including integrity, accuracy and attention to detail
