SAY “THANK YOU” TO KARGIL HEROS
The Kargil war was fought in 1999 between India and Pakistan in Kargil, Ladakh where India successfully took command of the high outposts which had been lost to Pakistani intruders. The Kargil war was fought for more than 60 days, ended on 26 July and resulted in the loss of life on both sides, India and Pakistan and with the India regain possessions of Kargil. Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated on 26 July every year in honour of the Kargil War's Heroes. iVolunteer invites citizens to thank the soldiers and police officers by writing a letter to them and to create awareness about Kargil Divas as there is little knowledge of Kargil Divas and what goes on at the border while we live in peace. Volunteers to come together on June 26, 2019 to pen down thank you notes in post cards for soldiers and government officials to show gratitude.
