Project Background

Assignment Title:         Volunteer to raise funds for sewing project
Duration: 2 Month commitment
Location :                      Online / Virtual
Brief Project Description:
The goal of this project is to empower women and their families by raising funds to teach sewing skills and provide sewing machines to the poor women in the villages where our volunteers serve. This gives them the opportunity to use their skills to rise out of poverty and work toward a promising future for themselves and their families.

Skills & experience:

A professional and friendly telephone manner;
Good written and verbal communication skills;
Ability to work on own initiative;
Previous fundraising experience would be a bonus;
Commitment to work in compliance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Developing local/community fundraising and awareness events; Manning a stall at an event;
Putting up posters or handling out flyers;
Delivering a presentation to a school in your local area;
Attending cheque presentations;
Approaching individuals, schools, universities, shops and commercial organisations for sponsorship and donations.
Generate new ideas and business opportunities to increase fundraising.
Research potential donors and foundations to identify and evaluate potential funding sources.
Create fundraising collaterals required for fundraising including pitch decks, proposals, donor reports and annual reports.
Help organisation reach the fundraising target.
Create different Plans like Fundraising Plan, Fundraising Strategy, Donor Engagement Plan, Corporate Engagement Plan, Fundraising Tracker, Master Fundraising Proposal, Donor Reports, Fundraising Campaigns (Online and Offline)

Expectation:

Commit to volunteering with us for at least 2 months;
Perform your volunteering role to the best of your ability;
Maintain the confidential information of the organisation and of its users;
Read and comply with policies, procedures and guidelines;
Attend any training relevant to your duties;
Act in a professional way whenever you represent ;
Raise any concerns at the earliest opportunity;
Give us as much notice as possible should you be unable to attend or carry out your volunteer role with us anymore.

About the Organization:
Tare Zameen Foundation is a non-profit organization registeredin the year 2018 in Delhi. Since, its inception the organizationhas been working for many causes like the upliftment of Children,Women, Aged and the Physically & Mentally challenged. It has been reaching out to the unprivileged and underprivileged children by providing them with the means of education and has shown the women folk the way to empowerment through employment. It also has been campaigning for the Save Girl Child programme through awareness generation. The organization also believes that a lot of diseases could be prevented through awareness programmes. Hence, it organizes Health Awareness Programmes on Cancer, Leprosy, HIV/AIDS & other critical diseases.
