Make & Mentor Sundays | Thane
Join us in nurturing curiosity and creativity in children from underserved communities. We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteer-teachers who can guide children in turning everyday waste materials into functional gadgets, toys, or useful items. A detailed course manual will be provided to support your sessions.
Purpose: To cultivate curiosity, innovation, and problem-solving skills among children through hands-on learning and sustainable thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate sessions based on the provided manual
- Encourage & guide children to think creatively and explore the science and utility behind their creations, safely handling and repurposing waste materials
Skills and Experience Required (if any):
- A curious mind and passion for hands-on teaching
- Patience and enthusiasm for working with children
- Prior experience in teaching or facilitating workshops (preferred but not mandatory)
- Understanding of basic scientific concepts or interest in innovation/making
Time Commitment: Every Sunday | 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Number of Volunteer-Teachers needed: 3
Age Minimum (with Adult): 18+, Minimum Age:18+
