Your role: In order to strengthen the organisation's digital presence, the Content Writing Volunteer will work to produce enriching and engaging content on bringing more engagement for the Organisation's website and social media accounts. The Volunteer will also be responsible for producing structured and factual content for blog post creation. Moreover, the volunteer will be responsible for writing content for Blogs, Articles, and website content as and when directed by the reporting manager. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Plogging Drive at Mutha River

Plogging is a Swedish term for picking up litter while jogging. The idea of plogging was first initiated in Sweden in 2016 and it gained momentum across the world in 2018. It is an eco-friendly exercise through which you can achieve 2 goals - fitness for yourself and a clean city for its citizens. In 2015, Vivek Gurav who was worried about the hazardous waste lying all around the city. He and his friends adopted river Indrayani and were successful in preventing 40 tonnes of plastic waste from entering the river. He founded Pune Ploggers in 2019. Pune Ploggers is the first of its kind team plogging every weekend in different areas in Pune. Pune ploggers have completed 173 successful plogging drives till now. In the last eight months, they have conducted nearly 100 plogging drives in Baner Hills, Dighi Hills, stretches of river Mutha, Pune railway station, and Sinhagadh Fort. On the ocassion of World Water Day, iVolunteer in collaboration with Pune Ploggers have planned a plogging drive on the banks of Mutha river. Impact Data Analysis

Foodshaala Foundation is working with the mission of enabling people to choose and access healthy food. We work with children from low-income communities to provide affordable healthy food prepared in community kitchens, and conduct awareness and behaviour change programs. Foodshaala is running a School Nutrition Awareness Program in schools for children from low-income backgrounds. The program is designed to make the students learn about the basics of food and nutrition, while also empowering them to make healthy decisions and take steps towards behavior change. The volunteer is expected to consolidate data from this program. The volunteer is then required to analyse the data and help in the preparation of the results/M&E framework. Types of data that will be gathered include: Quantitative and qualitative data - such as, attendance in workshop sessions, improvement in knowledge, behaviour change, and changes in attitude. We are also collecting stories on how the program led students to take steps towards their and their family's better health. Finally, the volunteer can choose to support in creating an impact report which will capture the outputs and outcomes from the program. Project Details: To establish paddy value chain in Ekta Nature Farming Producer Co. Ltd. to make it market ready. Ekta Nature Farming Producer Co. Ltd. is a Farmer Producer Company for by 50 women self-help groups having 612 small & marginal farmer families. It was formed in 2016. It is promoting natural farming. The turnover in 2019-20 was Rs. 16.25 lakhs. They have regenerate Rambhog, an indegenous scented variety of paddy of Kanpur region which disappreared in the push of high yielding varieties. Now about 400 farmers produce Rambhog rice in 400 acre. We have not been able to organise suitable market for this. We do not have expert to establish value chain and market for this and need support in this regard. Project Background: To sustain the interest of farmers in natural farming or in farming per se, it is important that they get fair price for their produce. We have been able to shift paddy farmers from production of GM paddy to indigenous scented variety of paddy of Kanpur region but we have not been able to establish the value chain and sufficient market for it. Key Project Objective: We would like to establish paddy value chain in Ekta Nature Farming Producer Co. Ltd. and market for it. Project Deliverables: The volunteer is expected to do the needful to improve the value chain in a decentralised model of women self-help groups. The volunteer is also expected to support in establish marketing network for it. Expected Learnings: Hands on experience of working with small & marginal women farmers and their self-help groups and improving their value chain and establishing market for their produce. About the Organization: Shramik Bharti is a not-for-profit, grassroots development organization registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860; Shramik Bharti’s activities are primarily aimed at eradicating poverty with a particular emphasis on empowering women and disadvantaged communities.
