iLead is a leadership program for the young and restless who want to bring change at the grassroot level by contributing their time, skills and passion to promote India's social development. Through iLead, youth will be connected to social causes to inspire greater empathy while they serve and support NGOs by mobilising volunteers locally to enable volunteering as a wave of change

How does it work?

  • 2 iLeaders get matched with an NGO allied with their passion
  • Conduct an evaluation to understand the volunteer management challenges of the NGO
  • Learn the superpowers you need to be an iLeader through our weekly huddles, “Tribe vibes” 
  • Put your learnings to practise by making volunteer management strategies and leading volunteer mobilisation to retention for your NGO
  • Learn about functionings of the development sector on the go

Eligibility

  • 18-30 year olds
  • Commitment of 15 hours per week
  • Based in Delhi from August - October
  • Should have prior volunteer experience

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will I have a mentor or supervisor to guide me throughout my journey in iLead?
A: Yes, a mentor will be assigned who will train you on the necessary skills and functionalities of the development sector and will handhold you throughout the program. You will also have a buddy who will be mapped to the NGO with you

Q: How will iLead contribute to my professional growth and development?
A: As an iLeader you’ll be working with multiple stakeholders, manage a team of volunteers, attend training sessions to learn various skills while on the job as well as celebrate your wins and failures. All these experiences will enable you to build career readiness skills

Q: How will my performance be evaluated during my journey?
A: Each iLeader will have a goal set as per the requirements of the NGO as well as their own personal aspirations from the program. A pre and post assessment will be conducted to determine the outcomes & your growth through the program.

Q: Which are the NGOs we will be working with and can I pick them?
A: The NGOs will be mapped based on the preference of social causes you’d like to work with as well as the needs of the NGO. The final list of NGOs will be revealed soon.

Q: Is this opportunity paid or unpaid?
A: The iLead program is a paid opportunity. The iLeaders will be paid a stipend of INR 5000 per month, out of which INR 2500 shall be borne by iVolunteer and the partner NGO each.
