Good Nutrition for Older Persons

Project Background:  Balance your food intake with physical activity – the more active you are, the more food you need. Keep an eye on your meal portion size, if you are less active choose smaller serving sizes and add plenty of vegetables, salad and fruit.

Purpose: The risk factors for adult chronic diseases, like hypertension and type of diabetes, are increasingly seen in older ages, often a result of unhealthy eating habits and increased weight gain.

Location: Day Care Centre: Dignity Foundation: Datta Tekdi, Anand Nagar, Jogeshwari East, Mumbai- 400060

Key responsibilities:
1. Promote healthy eating habits by developing health plans and educating people about food
2. Determine Senior Citizen’s dietary needs and restrictions

Time Commitment:
Once or Twice a week- 2hours per session

Skills and Experience Required:


1. Volunteer should be a Nutritionist or Dietician
2.Good Communications skills: Hindi and Marathi
