We need Math Teachers!

About the Organisation: 

Need based India is a non-profit organization that addresses the fundamental rights of child care, protection, health and education for children living on the streets, runaway children, orphans, children out of school or children under challenging situations. They run residential homes for underprivileged children, separate ones for both boys and girls, rehabilitation centres and virtual classes for underprivileged children from rural Karnataka.
 
Purpose of the Project:

Need Based India requires volunteers who can devote one hour a day to teach 5th, 6th and 7th grade children basic mathematics in accordance to the syllabus anytime between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm.
 
Location:Bangalore but can be done completely virtual.
 
Key Responsibilities: 
 
  • Understand the prescribed math syllabus
  • Make an effort to make the math syllabus interesting for children
  • Preferred, but not necessary to try and make math relatable to the outside world
