Volunteers who can Teach government school children

About the Organisation:

Ashwini Charitable Trust works with 15 educational institutions in Bangalore, to identify and sponsor children who show potential and the children undergo an all-round development program that enriches their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing through education, food, life skills, recreation, mentoring, sports, health and financial inclusion. They also run an empowerment program for the mothers of the children who are taught life skills.
                                                         
Purpose of the Project:

Ashwini Charitable Trust is looking for a volunteer who preferably can dedicate time every day to teach children English and Math from the government school that they work with. The children need one-on-one attention that the teachers may or may not provide.
 

 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand the prescribed math and English syllabus
  • Make an effort to make the math and English syllabus interesting for children
  • Preferred, but not necessary to try and make math and English relatable to the outside world
