Volunteer and motivate
Purpose of the Project:
Anahata United Efforts Foundation are looking for volunteers who are passionate and enthusiastic about children’s education and teaching. After months of uncertainty and school closures, govt school students have an opportunity to continue their learning. They are attending lessons broadcasted on Chandana TV channel. With the help of these lessons they are expected to do self study. However a little handholding and guidance from caring volunteers will go a long way in keeping the motivated and focused on continuing their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Passionate and enthusiastic to motivate students.
2. Make learning interesting for the children.
3. Commit to volunteering and mentoring them once a week at least
4. Help the children become aware of their potential
5. Try and provide exposure to the discovered potential career paths
Impact:
The volunteer will directly help shape and mould of the young children who are seeking direction and waiting to discover their potential.
Time Commitment:
45mins-1hr in a week till feb 2021 for grade 10 students of govt schools across Bangalore
Language of interaction:
Kannada No. of students for each volunteer: 3
Training: 3 hours of training will be provided to volunteers.
About the Organisation:
Every year, 140 million children are enrolled in Government schools across India, but only 10 millions of them get gainfully employed every year. Anahata United Efforts Foundation believes that this is because of the lack of exposure & awareness and lack of educational & career guidance. They believe in the potential of each child and have developed a program for children of Grade 8 and 9 of lower income families to identify interest areas and harvest their potential through discovery, reinforcement and continuing support.
