Mentor students from low-income backgrounds of Rural India
Freedom Employability Academy's (FEA) Mentorship Program aims to help students from low-income backgrounds of Rural India gain a better understanding of various professional options that are available, which of those might be suitable for them, and what they need to do to get there. You can volunteer for the Mentorship Program and make a significant difference by being present and taking an interest in the lives of these students. The long-term impact of such mentoring is invaluable; mentored students perform better in interviews, work better in teams and interact better in social situations.
Time Commitment: 60-90 minutes once a week or once in two weeks.
Time Duration: As per the mutual understanding between the organization and volunteers.
Location: Work from home / Virtual
Eligibility -To effectively mentor FEA students, we require mentors to have more than 2 years of work experience and be older than 25 years and can communicate in Hindi.
About Organization:
FEA is a unique poverty alleviation program operating in North India’s Hindi belt and to date about a quarter-million students have enrolled in it. The FEA program builds ethical, productive mindsets and core employability skills, including English language and digital literacy. Additionally, FEA provides career guidance and mentorship.
FEA currently operates in over 8 states (North India) with 900+ training centers to provide supplemental training to over 67,000 young people between the age of 18 to 27 years, who have recently entered, or who are on the verge of entering India’s workforce.
