SHARON WELFARE SOCIETY is a registered society (NGO) based in Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh under the AP Registrations Act 35 of 2001, Sec 12(A) and Sec 80(G) under the Income Tax Act. We started SHARON Children Home in Navuluru, Mangalagiri in August 2007 with 11 children and two caretakers. Since August 2010, we have been running two separate homes for boys and girls. There are millions of orphaned and abandoned children in India; in addition, girls from weaker sections of society do not get an equal opportunity to continue their education; professional skills and attitude are lacking among disadvantaged communities to become economically self reliant. Sharon ensures orphaned and destitute children the right to a family and home, while also fostering equity in education by assisting them to continue their higher education, and providing communities to train themselves in vocations by engaging socially committed individuals, who provide a transformative, nurturing and mentoring environment to help realize their full potential.Childhood is a memorable time for everyone. A time when we are showered with love by our families, protected from every difficulty and given everything to help develop our full potential. But for more than half of the children in India this is only a day dream because 50% of children in India are deprived of education; more than half are malnourished and 25 million are orphaned. The step you take today will enable SHARON to ensure children a secure future and a childhood they truly deserve. Your support will ensure children who are orphaned and abandoned, or living in adverse circumstances, their right to live, learn, play and develop. It will also ensure that children with the drive to learn are able to fulfill their dream of education.
