Arunodhaya centre for street and working children is a child rights organization, started in 1992. It works towards Elimination of child labour and promotion of child rights through community empowerment. Arunodhaya programmes are implemented in 75 slums in Chennai, Tiruvallur and Kancheepuram districts reaching out to more than 75,000 families. It has rescued more than 7000 child labours and enrolled them in school.
