Adapted Physical Education Teacher
Objectives:
• Improve the lifestyle of children with special needs
• Increase the competency in gross motor skills
• Improve their self-esteem and social skills
• Encourage an active lifestyle
• Maintain motivation in various areas of life
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide safe and fun activities for children that promote muscle development and provide cardiovascular exercise.
• Teaching children important skills like teamwork and sportsmanship.
• Create games and activities based on the specific needs of each individual child.
• Motivate students to participate in prescribed activities.
• Evaluate the student's performance, attitude and level of physical fitness.
Impact:
• Enhance academic performance and cognitive function
• Providing an opportunity to build collaborative and social skills
• Teaching individuals how to focus on specific goals and overcome obstacles
• Find creative ways to implement reasonable accommodations to ensure that all students with special needs can be successful in physical education and the school environment.
Qualifications:
• Effective Communication Skills
• Able to work collaboratively
• Compassionate and sensitive and a passion to work with children with special needs
• Any degree in special needs is welcome
Time Commitment:
Two hours a day – Five days a week [Looking for a time period of 3 months]
Support provided:
Appropriate support will be provided by the internal team.
Benefits:
Certificate and Experience letter to be provided by the NGO.
