Help Create a Student Tracker/ Impact Measurement Tool
About the Organisation Most SAC children attend municipal or private aided schools and come from families with no formal education but aspirations of a better future through educating their children. Inadequate guidance and emphasis on “rote learning” results in children being “exam ready” without any real learning. We strive to provide remedial education in a joyous, positive and encouraging ambience to enable children discover and realise their talents and potential. It is our endeavour at SAC to journey with the kids through their school years and equip them to be gainfully employable. Programme Background: The organisation works towards providing good quality education to children. Most children go to Government schools, which are overcrowded and hence fail to get the individual attention that many of them need. When you work with so many beneficiaries there is a lot of data that gets produced. They need a system to organise this data and use it to demonstrate progress. Project Description The NGO is looking for a volunteer who can help them track and keep students data in one place so that it becomes easy for them to track their performance. They recieve alot of performace tracking data like attendance, test scores etc. Once this is in place they can easily insert this data in their donor reports etc. If there is already such a software or tool which exist the volunteer could guide the NGO on transitioning their current mode of storing the date to that. Volunteer requirement 1) Volunteer should have a software designing background 2) Problem solving and logical thinking. 3) Should have quantitative and analytical skills 4) It would be great if the volunteer has experience in designing Time Duration: 5 months (Lesser if the engagement is continous) Time Commitment: 3 hours per week Benefit to the Volunteer 1) The ability to use your skillset to solve real life challenges 2) The ability to freely design the Impact measurement tool
